Widely known as "Mr. Typhoon," David Michael V. Padua is a veteran meteorology expert with over 45 years of experience in tracking tropical cyclones. As the founder of Typhoon2000.com—the Philippines’ first dedicated tropical cyclone website established in 1997—David has revolutionized how Filipinos access localized weather information.

A graduate of BS Geography from UP-Diliman, David’s expertise is backed by decades of rigorous field observation and international training, including participation in the American Meteorological Society’s conferences. His career is defined by public service; most notably in 2004, when his timely alert to the late Mayor Jesse Robredo regarding Typhoon Unding’s unexpected path saved countless lives in Naga City.
