Ordinance No. 2005-036 is an amendment to Ordinance No. 2005-008, which established the Naga City Business Registry Databank (NCBRD). This ordinance was created to enhance the city's ability to monitor, assess, and support businesses operating in Naga City. The primary purpose of this amendment is to:
✅ Improve Business Data Collection & Management – By refining the registration and classification of businesses, the city ensures a more accurate and updated business registry.
✅ Enhance Business Accessibility – The ordinance facilitates data-driven decision-making by providing insights into business demographics, trends, and economic contributions.
✅ Support Policy & Economic Development Initiatives – With a more structured business registry, local government units (LGUs) and stakeholders can implement better programs, incentives, and regulations for businesses.
By amending the original ordinance, the NCBRD became more robust, ensuring that businesses in Naga City are properly documented and recognized. This also aligns with MNCCI’s mission to support economic growth and entrepreneurship development in the region.
To further strengthen business visibility and competitiveness, the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) developed the General Business Registry (GBR) program, which highlights outstanding businesses in Metro Naga. Building on this initiative, MNCCI has launched an Online Business Viability Dashboard that allows businesses, investors, and stakeholders to:
📊 Analyze Business Data by Barangay & Industry Type – Users can check existing businesses in specific barangays and industries to assess market saturation and potential viability before launching a new venture.
📍 Identify Key Business Opportunities – Entrepreneurs can make informed decisions by understanding consumer demand, competitor presence, and untapped markets in Naga City.
📈 Support Business Growth & Expansion – The dashboard provides a strategic tool for businesses looking to expand or relocate within Metro Naga.
This innovative digital tool reinforces MNCCI’s commitment to empowering businesses with data-driven insights while complementing the objectives of the NCBRD ordinance. The initiative bridges government business data and private sector needs, fostering a more competitive and sustainable business environment in Naga City.
At MNCCI, we believe that every business holds the potential to thrive. As the voice of the business community in Metro Naga, we are committed to empowering enterprises of all sizes through advocacy, partnerships, and support services. One of our key collaborations is with the Naga City Investment and Tourism Board (NCITB), a vital arm of the local government that promotes Naga as a premier destination for both investment and tourism.
Together, we work to identify strategic growth opportunities, streamline investment processes, and advocate for policies that foster a more business-friendly environment. This partnership allows us to support potential investors by providing access to market insights, facilitating business matching and networking opportunities, co-organizing investment forums and expos, offering guidance in navigating local regulations, and promoting key investment areas such as tourism, agri-business, ICT, real estate, and manufacturing.
Our shared vision is to position Naga City and the greater Metro Naga area as a competitive and inclusive economic hub—where businesses are not only welcomed, but empowered to grow and create meaningful, long-term impact in the community.
